CAREER SPOTLIGHT
THE RISE OF THE FOUNDER’S ASSOCIATE

Behind every great founder is a right hand who makes things happen.
Today’s highlighted role, The Founder’s Associate, gives serious mini-CEO energy. It’s built for ambitious operators who thrive in the organized chaos of early-stage startups.
If you’ve ever wanted a front-row seat to how a company truly operates, this is it. In this role, you’ll be hands-on across everything from sales to strategy, and translating big ideas into real progress. You’re the founder’s force multiplier: part operator, part strategist, part fixer, who turns vision into action and momentum into scale.
Note: This role was first spotted at the London-based company Intropy. It’s not a traditional title you’ll often see posted, but it aligns closely with a Chief of Staff or Business Operations function. The Founder’s Associate is designed as a more junior, high-impact version of one of those roles.
FOUNDER’S ASSOCIATE JOB DESCRIPTION
The Founder’s Associate is the CEO’s right hand in scaling a high-growth startup. It’s a dynamic, hands-on role that blends operations, sales, customer success, and special projects, and is built for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants a front-row seat to startup building. You’ll optimize internal systems, drive revenue through sales and success workflows, and take on strategic initiatives like partnerships and fundraising. Whether it’s building decks, closing deals, or untangling operational bottlenecks, you’re the go-to generalist who turns plans into progress. This role is ideal for someone with a background in consulting, strategy, or operations, and has an ambition to one day build a company of their own.
