CAREER SPOTLIGHT
What The Heck is a Product Designer?

In a world overcrowded with resumes, I saw an Airbnb recruiter do something really interesting.
They host open office hours specifically for Lead, Staff, or Senior Staff UX/UI/Interaction/Experience Product Designers.
My first thought was… Wait, this is genius. What a powerful way to connect with talent and consider people beyond their resumes.
(Hint, hint: don’t be surprised if you start seeing more recruiters hosting 1:1 office hours instead of just posting a job and waiting for applications.)
But it also got me thinking, what if someone reads that title and has no idea what it actually means?
So today’s career mini-breakdown is all about figuring out…
What the heck a Lead, Staff, and Senior Staff UX/UI/Interaction/Experience Product Designer does.
